Having a really good bath towel can change how you feel when you take a shower every day. Your towel should be soft on your skin, dry you fast, and stay strong even after lots of washes, so it doesn’t become rough. It’s also good if it can dry fast itself to stop mold and if it’s big enough to keep you warm.

We’ve looked at many towels and tried out lots of them. Since 2017, we’ve suggested the Everplush Diamond Jacquard Bath Towel because it’s the softest, keeps you warm, and lasts a long time.

The Best Dress Socks

Everplush Diamond Jacquard

PROS

  • Lightweight and soft
  • Aced absorbency and drying time tests
  • Loved by GH Textile pros

CONS

  • Showed signs of wear in laundry evaluations

Everplush Diamond Jacquard features cotton on the outside for a soft feel, while the inside is made of microfiber for improved performance. This combination results in a towel that strikes a great balance between being absorbent, quick to dry, durable, and resistant to shrinking. Testers also commented positively on its texture, which stands out from the typical cotton loop patterns.

One important thing to mention is that the fabric’s surface showed signs of fuzziness and wear more quickly compared to other towels in our laundering tests. Nevertheless, it performed exceptionally well, being the only towel to excel in both absorbency and drying time tests. We also appreciate the brand’s Hokime Ribbed Towels for those who prefer an even more textured feel; these towels also performed impressively in our tests.

Amazon Basics Quick-Dry Bath Towels

Amazon Essentials Dress Socks

PROS

  • Low cost for a set of two
  • Made of absorbent cotton
  • Available in a variety of colors of sizes

CONS

  • May not feel as substantial or luxurious as pricier towels

If you like to shop for towels on Amazon, their own brand offers a selection of bath towels that have impressed our experts both in our testing lab and with regular consumers who tested them at home. This is especially noteworthy considering the brand’s affordable prices. In fact, this particular set of towels costs less than other individual towels and is available in a wide range of colors and sizes. Our absorbency tests have shown that similar towels from this brand can effectively soak up moisture, and users have reported that they feel soft and absorbent when used after their showers.

While the most recent towel we tested from this brand is no longer available, this one is quite similar in terms of material and comes in various colors and sizes. Some reviewers have mentioned that it may feel a bit thin, although the exact weight isn’t listed on Amazon’s website. Nevertheless, it’s difficult to find a better deal for 100% cotton bath towels at this price point.

Brooklinen Super-Plush Towels

PROS

  • Plush and thick
  • Super absorbent
  • Year-long return policy

CONS

  • Some shrinkage in the wash

This style is perfect for those who prefer the luxury of a plush, thick towel. Among all the options we’ve considered, its cotton fabric stands out with the highest weight, boasting an impressive 820 grams per square meter (GSM). This heavyweight attribute contributed to its outstanding performance in our lab tests, where it demonstrated exceptional absorbency, and it also received top-notch ratings for its softness from our consumer testers. One of our testers even commented, “It’s an incredibly thick towel that can practically dry your body in a single pass,” while another enthusiast declared it to be “the best towel I’ve ever used.”

Another noteworthy feature is that it didn’t release lint during the wash, addressing a common concern with plush towels. Although it did experience some shrinkage after laundering and wasn’t particularly quick-drying, it still scored about average in these aspects compared to the other towels we tested.
